A five-day training on the ISO 50001:2018 standard, which defines the requirements for the establishment, implementation, maintenance and improvement of energy management systems (EnMS) and energy performance, was held online from 25 to 29 January 2021.
Attendees of the training were more than forty representatives of the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, the Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs), the Accreditation Body of Serbia (ABS), the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Serbian producers of energy related products, as well as members of the Working Group of the European Union project "EU4Energy Labelling and Ecodesign".
The training on the ISO 50001:2018 standard was organized within the project "EU4Energy Labelling and Ecodesign" in order to improve the national quality infrastructure of Serbia. Within this project, representatives of CABs have previously attended a training on the novelties in the EU legislation in the field of ecodesign and energy labelling of products.
With the support of foreign and domestic experts, it is expected that five selected CABs: "Kvalitet a.d.", Niš, Institute "Mihajlo Pupun" - Center for Gas Engineering, Belgrade, "IEG Industry of Electric Heaters", Leštane, "Idvorski laboratorije", Belgrade, "AN LAB co doo", Belgrade, will be prepared to apply for accreditation of their methods for assessment of compliance of energy performance of devices covered by the project scope.
